Patient Rights
Right to Benefit from Services
Our patients have the right to benefit equally from all services without discrimination based on language, religion, race, gender, sect, socioeconomic status, or opinion.
Right to Request Determination of Priority
Our patients have the right to request that medical priority be determined when receiving healthcare services.
Right to Information and Consent
Our patients or their legal representatives have the right to receive full information, in clear language and methods, about proposed medical interventions, potential risks and benefits, alternative treatment options, the consequences of refusing treatment, and the process itself.
After being informed about serious side effects, risk of death, recovery period, and chances of success, patients have the right to decide whether to proceed with the proposed treatment.
In emergencies, if patient consent cannot be obtained and there is a life-threatening situation, medical intervention may be performed in the patient’s best interest.
For procedures requiring written consent, written approval must be obtained from the patient or their legal representative in accordance with relevant legislation.
Patients also have the right to review their medical files and obtain copies.
Right to Know, Choose, and Change Personnel
Our patients have the right to know the identity, role, and title of the doctor, nurse, and other healthcare personnel responsible for their treatment, and to choose or change them.
Right to Choose and Change Institution
Our patients have the right to choose and change the healthcare institution, provided they comply with the procedures and conditions stipulated by applicable legislation.
Right to Diagnosis, Treatment, and Care in Accordance with Medical Requirements
Our patients have the right to receive diagnosis, treatment, and care in accordance with medical requirements and the duty of diligence.
Prohibition of Non-Medical Interventions
Our patients cannot be subjected to any intervention outside medical necessity.
Right to Refuse or Terminate Treatment
Except in legally mandatory cases, infectious diseases, and emergencies, our patients have the right to refuse or terminate planned or ongoing treatment.
Prohibition of Euthanasia
The right to life of our patients is sacred; euthanasia cannot be requested or performed.
Right to Privacy (Confidentiality)
Our patients have the right to receive services in an environment that respects privacy at every stage of treatment.
Personal health information is kept confidential under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data and cannot be shared with third parties without patient consent.
Right to Respect
Our patients have the right to undergo examinations and receive treatment in an environment where their personal dignity is protected, and where they are treated with respect, compassion, and kindness at all times and under all circumstances.
Right to Fulfill Religious Obligations
Our patients have the right to freely fulfill their religious obligations, regardless of differences, provided that it does not interfere with treatment.
Right to Security
Our patients and their relatives have the right to expect and demand safety within the healthcare institution. Our institution takes necessary measures to ensure the safety of patients and their relatives, both in terms of life and property.
Right to Have Companions and Visitors
Patients may have companions with them, subject to medical necessity and institutional rules, with the approval of relevant personnel.
Our patients also have the right to receive visitors during visiting hours determined in line with institutional policies.
Right to Submit Complaints, Opinions, and Suggestions
Our patients and their families have the right to initiate, review, and conclude complaint mechanisms in cases of violation of patient rights, and to be informed of the outcomes.
Patients have the right to submit complaints to our institution’s Patient Rights Unit or to the Ministry of Health Communication Center (SABİM 184).
